Welcome to the website for Christ Church, Stone in Staffordshire which is part of the Anglican Diocese of Lichfield.

The Church of England has worked closely with Government Health and has taken action to suspend all public services and close church buildings during the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic. This will help to contribute to protecting one another’s health as outlined in the Government’s own advice found here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

We ask for your patience and understanding during this time. We understand that you may be anxious about a baptism, wedding or funeral. Please consult the most up to date information and guidance at: https://www.churchofengland.org but also speak to the vicar Paul whose contact details are on this page.

We continue to be a church, but not one that gathers in its usual building. We are adjusting to the circumstances learning to do things differently, but still aiming to know Christ better and to make Him better known. We hope that you can join our events as advertised on this website and on our social media of Twitter and Facebook.

On Sundays we are hosting a virtual service through the use of social media, so please like our pages and check our output. You may like to hear to sermons from previous Sunday meetings and can find those on this web page under “Listen again”.

We run “Ebenezer” which is a daily club for children posted at 5.00 p.m. on YouTube and Facebook, which we hope will continue to help children through this time and enable them to discover more about what it means to know God personally.

Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew’s Gospel chapter 11v28-30).
