We are immensely looking forward to Advent Windows 2019! This year is the 10th Anniversary of Advent Windows in Stone, so a special occasion.

Our theme this year is ‘Follow the Star’  – this came about as it is the Tenth Anniversary, which is usually celebrated by ‘tin’ – it was not a giant leap to think of shiny metal, shiny stars and the Christmas story. Our brilliant logo for this year was created by Lisa – big thank you to her – look out for the posters around the town.

Our first window this year is on Sunday December 1st and will be at Christ Church – we are having a joint benefice service at 10.00am followed by the window opening at 11.00am. So please do come along – the Mayor and Mayoress of Stone will be coming and all those involved in the project are invited. 

The last window on the 24th will also be at Christ Church following our traditional Carol Singing Walk around all the windows and our wonderful helpers at both Oulton Church and Christ Church are creating the two windows as a team effort and following the theme of Alpha and Omega – beginning and end. It promises to be a lovely display.

All the shops and organisations are busy getting ready – please join us every day in December at 11.00am as we see each one revealed. The full detailed plan will feature in the December magazine and maps will be ready soon. Enjoy.
