Pupils, parents and staff from Christ Church Academy gathered at Christ Church Stone for their annual Harvest Service this month. Beginning with a welcome from the Head Boy and Head Girl, the pupils enjoyed a fun-filled service which included performances from the choir and several short dramas from Pursuit; the school’s Christian youth group. They were even treated to a surprise appearance from the Principal, Deputy Principal and Rev. Kingman who took on roles as ‘tasters’ and presenters in a Bake-Off themed play! During the service, pupils reflected on the theme of ‘thankfulness’- one of the school’s chosen Christian values. Having collected donations of food and toiletries during September and October, Stone’s community food-bank should now have very full shelves!
