A Christmas Eve Tour of Stone's Advent Windows

The Rt Revd Geoff Annas, Bishop of Stafford, joined the people of Stone in a whistle-stop tour of many of the twenty-three advent windows that businesses in the town had decorated. Each window was based on a Christmas Story, some biblical, others traditional tales. Councillor June Price, the mayoress of Stone, also walked around the windows.

The walk around the town on Christmas Eve included some story telling and carol singing.

By the time Bishop Geoff reached window number twenty-four – the main entrance at Christ Church- well over 140 people were gathered listen to him speak before watching him reveal the life-sized representation of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple created in the foyer of the Church. The gathered crowd then heard as expert local story-teller, Pam Pott, told the story, which can be read in the Gospel of Luke (2:21-40).
